Peak Shaving

Load Shifting
Load shifting moves electricity consumption from one time period to another. Where appropriate, postponing an industrial process or energy load to another time, thus mitigating the effects of large energy load blocks during a period of time by advancing or delaying their effects until the power supply system can readily accept additional load.
